Patient Safety
Quality and safety are important to all of us. Here at Coteau Des Prairies Hospital and Clinic, we work continuously to improve quality and provide the best care to our patients. Because quality and safety are so important, Coteau Des Prairies has developed safety and quality plans, policies, and procedures to make care safer as well as more efficient and effective.
The most effective way to make care safer, however, is to involve you, the patient! We need you as our partner by keeping us informed, and we need your active participation in your care by providing us with detailed information about your condition as well as any changes in your condition. Also, be sure and ask questions about any aspect of your care if you have doubts or concerns. You are the most important member of our healthcare team!
With all we do, can we eliminate the possibility of human error? Of course not, because we are people caring for people. However, we can, and do, work together to improve the quality of care provided at Coteau Des Prairies Hospital and Clinic. Does something seem unsafe? Have you seen something we’ve missed or something we can do better? If so, please let us know as we want to hear about it. We welcome your concerns and questions, so please express them to your physician, your nurse, or other staff as they will know whom to contact about your concerns. You may also print out the Patient Comment Form complete the form, and return it to CDP’s Quality/Patient Safety Coordinator at the address listed on the form.
